- A free lecture open to the public held Tuesday, June 5 at 7:30pm. Sponsored by the the Swedenborg Society at Harvard, the Cambridge Church of the New Jerusalem (celebrating its chapel's centennial this year), and the Wesley N. Gray Fund.

- This year's talk on "Ralph Waldo Emerson and William James: The Swedenborgian and Transcendentalist Roots of American Pragmatism" will inform deeply for the rich heritage of Swedenborg in New England, a man whom Emerson called one of the 50 greatest thinkers in history (others included Goethe, Shakespeare, and Plato).

- Our presenter will be Eugene Taylor, PhD, Lecturer on Psychiatry at the Harvard Medical School. Dr. Taylor is the Vice-President of the chapel's Swedenborgian Cambridge Society, and the author of "A Psychology of Spiritual Healing" and "Shadow Culture: Psychology and Spirituality in America"
