- Mystical Paintings, Poetry, Stories, and Songs!
The 2007 show date is Saturday 7pm-9:30pm, October 13

- Begun in 2001, the Cambridge Swedenborg Chapel is hosting a wonderful new concept in spiritual and creative celebration! The Soul-Stirring series of transcendent art and performance shows feature original works by dozens of local spiritual artists from every faith and philosophy. The soul of humanity is given its due!

- We're art friendly and we want to celebrate creation with you. Swedenborgianism, with its humanistic attitudes and visionary insights, has long been influential to many artists, including Ralph Waldo Emerson and the New England Transcendentalist poets, William Blake, and August Strindberg. Did you know that Johnny Appleseed, a Swedenborgian from Massachusetts, was one of the first great American spiritual performance artists? His symbolic act was to travel the country handing out seeds wrapped in pages from Emanuel Swedenborg's writings.

- An entire website has been opened up to celebrate the art of the soul universally, and to facilitate the shows beyond any one denomination or church affiliation. Visit www.SoulStirring.Org for tons of information, networking, and artists online!

- The 2007 show date is Saturday 7pm-9:30pm, October 13. Art show events start Saturdays at 7pm and end about 9:30pm, with a break in between two 45 minute performance sequences, and a reception to follow. Admission is $5-$10 sliding scale, and we regret that we are not wheelchair accessible at this time. The stage events are not open-mike but scheduled in advance, so if you're interested in contributing please see the Artist Guidelines.
